The number of older people with disability in China is large and still growing fast, with a heavy social burden. We should take earlier interventions to delay the progress of disability. It is important to enhance or maintain the physical function of the elderly to prevent or delay disability because that the decline in physical function precedes disability. However, there is no targeted intervention. The characteristics of physical function changes can provide a target for the exploration of accurate and effective early interventions. At present, the clinical evaluation of physical function mainly depends on the manual evaluation of medical staff. The objectivity and accuracy of the evaluation are lack and a single measurement takes too long as well as consumes a lot of manpower. Above on, this program intends to collect data on the motion trajectory and body composition of the elderly through multi-source sensing technology, and develop an intelligent assessment system for physical function, so as to explore the characteristics of changes in the physical function of the elderly as well as correlation between physical dysfunction and disability. The study can eventually provide clinical decision-making basis for early identification and precise intervention for older people with disability.
