Sedentary lifestyle is the major risk factor for non-communicable diseases. While member states of World Health Organization have agreed to a 10% relative reduction in the prevalence of insufficient physical activity by 2025, recent survey has shown that this target is unlikely to be met. A key reason for the physical inactivity is owing to the lack of motivation to adhere to sustained workouts. To overcome this, we propose a gamified fitness programme that utilizes a smart sleeve to monitor joint movement and muscle activity. We believe that the feedback of the fitness profile will ensure higher user engagement and adoption.
