Numerous elder people are affected by “age-related hearing loss”. This irreversible disease not only serves as the greatest risk for developing dementia but also hinders conversation and the enjoyment of entertainment, the essential elements for a fulfilling life. The aim of this study is to overcome age-related hearing loss by integrating medical and engineering approaches. The goal will be establishment of the prevention method combining medicine and medical care with environmental improvement. Our achievements will contribute to a healthy and happy aging society.
